A New Orleans (Brother Martin HS) native, Rick Robey played on teams that won NBA, NCAA, NIT, and Louisiana Class AAAA titles.  The 6-10 Robey was a two-time All-American center at Kentucky who played eight NBA seasons with Indiana (1978-79), Boston (1979-83) and Phoenix (1983-86).  The third player chosen in the 1978 NBA Draft, Robey was traded to the Celtics for Dennis Johnson and helped Boston win the 1981 NBA Championship.  He played in 53 NBA Playoff games with Boston and Phoenix.  In 500 NBA games, he scored 3,762 points (7.5 ppg) and grabbed 2,292 rebounds (4.6 pg).  At Kentucky, he helped lead the Wildcats to the 1976 NIT title and the 1978 NCAA crown, wrapping up his career as the all-time school leader with a .581 shooting percentage.  At Brother Martin, he was an All-American center.
