Third year of impactful LSHOF membership drive launches

The Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame Foundation has generated $85,000 over the past two years to support the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame Museum through its “Join the TEAM” membership drive.

First launched in 2023, Year Three of the membership drive began on November 1. LSHOF Foundation CEO Ronnie Rantz expressed appreciation for support received over the past two years.

“Membership drive monies enabled the foundation to initiate upgrades at the museum which otherwise would not have been possible,” said Rantz, who noted that the museum located in the Natchitoches Historic District is now over 12 years old and will continue to require aesthetic and technology updates to keep it among the best in the country. Rantz also said that LSHOF Foundation funds helped with renovation at the museum in time for the 2025 induction weekend following an electrical fire in the building on January 5.

There are four levels of membership – Starter ($120), Captain ($240), All-Star ($500), and Hall of Famer ($1,000). Individuals and businesses can join with an annual payment or with a monthly bank draft for as little as $10-$20 per month. Payment can be made online at lasportshall.com or by sending a check to 500 Front Street, Natchitoches, LA 71457.

Every Year Three member will receive a newly created LSHOF 24” X 18” color poster featuring some of the most well-known LSHOF inductees – Skip Bertman, Billy Cannon, Willie Davenport, Ron Guidry, Archie Manning, “Pistol Pete” Maravich, Kim Mulkey, Eddie Robinson, and Shaquille O’Neal.

Depending on membership level, other benefits include a LSHOF T-shirt, exclusive TEAM polo, and a hardback copy of “Only Rainbows – The Carley McCord Story.” McCord, who perished in a 2019 plane crash, was a prominent state sports personality and journalist who served as the LSHOF social media host.

All members will also receive the quarterly “Insider” online newsletter, entry into a monthly giveaway drawing, a discount on the purchase of LSHOF induction gear and recognition in the “TEAM Honor Roll” listing on the LSHOF website and in the 2026 induction ceremony program.

“This year’s drive has several goals and at the top of the list is renewing Year Two members, which will provide a base for membership growth. There also will be a focus on increasing local support in Natchitoches and thirdly, creating more awareness for the drive across the state,” added Rantz.
